I thought I put in my review
onFebruary 12, 2011
Bought stove in July 2009. Had a problem with the LCD clock within 5 months. The stove was still under warranty so I had the technician come in to have it replaced.
Other than that we love the stove. Cooks fast so you have to prepare your food prior to cooking. Does not soil burnt marks on stove top so cleaning was easy. If you spill something while cooking just take a damp cloth and just wipe it off the burner.
We did had to install the 50amp wire for the stove.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, High quality

Induction Proves To Be A Winner
onAugust 21, 2010
My husband and I both enjoy cooking and the debate was on between gas or induction. After much research, we decided to go with induction and best decision ever. I concur with the positive comments of the previous reviewers. We have had ours since May and have absolutely no complaints after having had a gas stove in our previous home. I can only add to the pros listed by other reviewers whch are: 1) since the pot is what is conducting the heat, spills on the stove do not scorch onto the surface unlike gas or halogen stoves and 2) it does not heat up your kitchen in the summer which is a huge plus with or without air conditioning; and 3) unbelievably fast heating and cooling. My husband is impressed with the preciseness he can achieve controlling the heat while cooking foods. Well worth the money and a beauty to look at too! In case it was not previously mentioned, this unit is made by Electrolux for Sears so great quality to boot! We are sold!
Pros: Durable, Simple setting, Easy to use, High quality

Nice range, very minor issues.
onFebruary 17, 2010
I will recommend this. Absolutely.
Pros: induction. Practically 0 impact on electrical bill. Very fast, once you had induction, nothing else will do again. Period. Responsive surface, unlike the built-in induction which was finicky. This is a good improvement.
Cons: After 4 months, my 'locked' light went out. I had it replaced but it seems the tech guy miswired something and the burners no longer lock. No fault of the stove though because it worked before the guy touched it. Ever so slight humming when the fan comes on - I need to listen for it to know its there.
I've seen reviews of people complaining about the large blue clock. Most quality appliances have blue LCDs now. This one is inline with other appliances. I didn't bother putting mine on a 50 amp fuse, so far no problems.
I look forward to many years of solid use with this appliance. It looks good and works well.

love this oven
onDecember 6, 2009
I have had my oven for a year, no problems. I have owned element and smooth top ranges and for those of you who don't understand INDUCTION COOKING, you use magnetic pots on the cook top and the pot does the cooking not the element. The cook top never gets hot enough not to touch, elements only work when pot is on it, so it is easy to clean and safer with kids. Still not used to how fast it boils water!! Don't walk away for long!! Cooks everything faster and better on cook top. Love the convection feature for turkey, roasts, pizza from scratch (my kids favorite) and cakes. Hi and low settings on cook top work so well you can go from boil to simmer in seconds, no scorching bottoms of pots. No waiting for element to cool down. I use paraffin wax paper between my pot and element, yes this is possible and works great for preventing scratches to your cook top and for easy cleanup! I love this oven worth every penny of the extra money we spent to own it. Even after a year I still love using it and am amazed at how much easier cooking is with it.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, High quality, Simple setting, faster cook time

Oven Fan rattles and is very loud
onOctober 18, 2009
We have had our Kenmore Elite slide-in replaced because of the condition it was delivered in and then again it was replaced because of an issue with the oven door. We have had the range for under a year and now the fan is extremely loud when the over is warming up...and I'm not talking about a slight humming noise it is more of a scrapping, rattling noise.
